MOLD LEVEL MEASUREMENT
Efficient processes with full safety for your employees.
More than 40 years of experience in mold level measurement
Since 1978 we have been using the eddy current method to measure the mold level in continuous casting lines. Since then, we have continuously improved our sensor technology and adapted it specifically to systems for billets, blooms and slabs.
Your advantage:
- Simple and fast calibration
- Easy maintenance (replacement of the sensor protective covers)
- Precise, fast and contactless measurement
- Worldwide use, since harmless to health
- Compensation of the mold oscillation

Eddy Current Level Meter
The system consists of a freely suspended arm, at the end of which the eddy current sensor with its protective housing is attached.
The detector is suspended above the surface of the liquid metal. Different sensor designs with different measuring ranges are available, which are selected according to the application.
On the other side of the arm are the connections for the cooling air and for the sensor cables, which terminate over to the measuring amplifier MA2000. Numerous customer interfaces are available.
Despite the most adverse environmental conditions in the area of the measuring head, the measuring system is considered to be low-maintenance. Only the protective covers on the detector need to be replaced from time to time.
